On 30th December, The Karen Department of Health and Welfare (KDHW) has successfully held its 10th batch Medic (Level 2 Health Worker) training course. The training was host in Pa-An district. This was the 10th batch of medic training which has been organized by KDHW. The purpose of organizing this training to recruit enough health workforce at Secondary care centers as well as primary health care centers. The training was started in April, 20222 and it took for 10 months in total, six months theoretical and 4 months practical in the hospital. From this batch total 25 students were graduated who’s represented from KDHW central and KDHW Pa An district. Throughout the training there were 8 volunteers’ doctors who contributed their time in both theoretical and clinical practice. The course were taught in to three parts (Part I- Basic Science, Part II- Diseases & Procedures and Part III- Public Health & Health Management). The curriculum was adopted from Ethnic Health Organizations (EHOs).
